Built In Virco Grill by Al & Denise

(Beautiful Work)

First, we elevated the grill off its casters to give it some stability and to keep it from shaking or even shifting every time we raised the lid. We did this by placing it on cinder blocks under the supports that run between the casters.

Second we built a frame to anchor to our patio floor out of treated 2x4s - we screwed these into our patio using concrete bolts (our patio is concrete covered with saltillo tiles - we drilled through both to anchor this frame).

We had to shave one to go under the grill so that it would meet up with the grill as closely as possible - that was the most time consuming part of the project. Once that was done, the rest was easy!
